Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, issued a written statement on the matter.

Kudra stated that a 20-year-old woman died of malnutrition and dehydration in Şifa Hospital and a two-month-old baby died in Kemal Advan Hospital.

Kudra explained that the number of people who lost their lives due to hunger and thirst increased to 25, noting that this number only reflected the cases that were admitted to hospitals.

Kudra stressed that the increase in deaths from hunger and thirst is alarming, saying it shows that the famine in northern Gaza has reached deadly proportions.

An earlier statement from Gaza’s health ministry said 23 people had died of hunger and thirst.
